Another year older, not really wiser though

I turned the big "27" this past Friday. Woohoo! 3 years till 30-yikes:) Just kidding to all you thirty somethings out there! I wanted to thank my family and friends that called, brought me gifts and goodies, emailed, partied with me, etc. I had a really nice day. I especially want to thank my good friend, Melissa, who knew Joey was out of town and brought me a little surprise in the morning and then baked me a cake and even threw me a little party. It really made my day. I am so blessed to have such a thoughtful and sweet friend! She took a couple of pics from that day. She has them on her blog, so check em out. I look like a dork but hey, thats me! I also want to give a shoutout to my sister, Tara, who visited over the weekend. She was loads of entertainment for me and my girls and baked me a yummy cake yesterday and partied with us. She is a fun and wacky sister who always makes me laugh so hard I cry:) Aubrey and Ella also made me the sweetest cards ever. Ella drew the cutest happy faces and "I (a heart) U" in her own order. And now that Aubrey is reading and writing, she actually wrote me a little message which made her card extra special. Anyways, thanks everyone! I love you!

Happy late birthday babe!! It sounds like it was pretty fabulous...and your husband was gone so you didn't even have to have obligatory birthday sex...although I am sure you had to have "come back from being out of town sex" but that is usually better than the special occasion sex, unless you are somewhere special, then...should I go on? Probably not. Happy Birthday!!!!!

Erica, you are hilarious! Thanks Melissa for the compliment on my cake, yeah, I thought it was pretty dang good myself. Don't mind saying so...Holly, I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday weekend. I had a blast, and I'll definitely have to add High School Musical to my collection of DVDs and sountracks. Good stuff!

Happy BD to you, Holly! I spent my last BD (a week or so ago) with Mark out of town too so I can relate. It's nice to have great friends and family who take good care of you! Sounds like a lovely day and you deserve only the best.

Take it from somone who turned 35 on Sept 1st...It's not THAT bad. When I turned 30 I was all depressed because I thought I had to grow up. Seems I was mistaken! :)

Holly, sorry this comes late but what I wanted to say was I'm grateful for you and the daughter you are for our family. We are so grateful to you for the way you have supported us all through this past couple of weeks. My wish will be that you will find joy every day in all you do and in your adventures always remember we love you and love how well you take care of yourself as well as your family. Here's to many more birthdays.
