Big girl Cali

Cali is at such a fun age! Her personality is really starting to show and she is seriously just an angel. She has become our little living room explorer and will scoot to just about anywhere to get what she wants. She also uses the roll around method. She is our roly poly. So, now we are starting the fun babyproofing process:) Lately, she has begun to tap things with her thumb and just tries to grab anything and everything she can and then immediately stick it in her mouth. Today she had her 6 month checkup and immunizations:( I was so proud of her. As soon as I picked her up from the table after the shots(3 of them!)and said, "All done! All done!" she stopped crying immediately. She knows what those words mean-I say that to her in a specific way(the high pitched mom voice), when I pick her up from changing her diaper or when her bath is over. I would really recommend this(saying the exact same phrase when you are done with something) as it has helped all of my kids calm down almost immediately with their immunizations. They realize, okay, its over now, mommy said so:) Cali did just as good with her 4 month shots too. The nurse was impressed and I was proud of my little trooper. Our little grabby baby also took off her bandaids on the way home in the car and tried to eat them. Luckily, Ella was sitting by her confiscating them- much to Cali's dismay:)

Something else new this week was busting out the highchair. We hadn't yet got it out, but decided to finally. As soon as she sat in it, she was beaming. You could tell she really felt like a big girl at the table with all of us. It was so cute. It was neat having all of us at the table together for dinner. These kids grow too fast!

She looks so big in that chair, and all smiles, too. Yes, they are growing too fast. It seems like just the other day you brought Aubrey home from the hospital.

Growing up so fast - -and what a cutie! Kids these days are so so smart - -they never cease to amaze me. (I'm thinking of her crying ending when you told her it was all done. Amzing.)

She is sooo brave!! Way to go Cali! And I know THE exact voice you used--it's like the standard Mom voice :) I also LOVE when they get to sit in the highchair because (I am such a good mom...not really) I let my kids get busy on feeding themselves...nice.

What a big, happy beautiful girl!! High chair time is my favorite. Throw some food in front of them, turn on the TV, and life has new meaning. Okay, well maybe that is only for me because I am a lazy mother.
