NOOooooooo!

We think we just lost our hard drive. I'm on the laptop right now. Joey has been working on our main computer and the hard drive won't even register with the computer(if thats the right terminology-probably not-I don't know all of this technical stuff). Luckily, he backed it up last week, but still, we have taken a lot of pictures this week and they may be gone forever. So, that upsets me. A picture is priceless-it captures a moment in time that you can never get back! So, I'm not happy today. Not happy at all...arrrgggg. I need to look at the bright side. At least he backed it up last week. If he hadn't, we would've lost a couple of months worth. That would have been tragic. Okay, so I need to look at it that way I guess:) Don't you love this picture? Its my representation of me. It also just cracks me up.

Ahhh! So frustrating! Good thing you'd backed it up, but still a big pain in the you-know-where.

Seriously, that picture is hilarious! I can totally see you doing that on your kitchen table. Sorry about the hard drive.

Computers. Love 'em. Hate 'em. Sigh. Wish there was something more that could be said. I'm sorry, Holly!!

Oh Holly, I am so sorry!! It is stressful when pictures are lost and computers stop working...that stinks!! I hope you can recover those precious pictures. :)

Oh man. That happened to me last year, but I hadn't backed up for a month. And I was FREAKING out about losing pictures. I called a computer guy to come save my data. He did it!!!

Good thing he backed up last week. For me its a monthly thing. I should be better about it.

External hard drives have come a long way---they are a rather functional back up device now. (I had a one a few years ago and it was less user-friendly than my newer one).

Also, Dell makes PCs with dual auto-mirroring hard drives. Everything is automatically saved to both, auto-partitioned, etc. If one fails, you are still good to go. The chance of both failing simultaneously is quite remote. That is what my next PC will have.

When are we going to get together with you two?

That really stinks...good thing you are on the ball enough to have backed up so recently. And that picture looks freakishly like my sister. Seriously.
