Boxes from heaven

Two boxes arrived on my doorstep straight from heaven yesterday.....

Thin Mints-oh how I love you!
And Samoas-oh how I've missed you!
As soon as they arrived, I ate half of the box of Thin Mints. One whole sleeve for me. I lack self control with these puppies. And another great thing is, Joey and Aubrey hate them! More for me and Ella-yesssss. I do have to share the Samoas though...they are Joey's favorite. Darn. I only ordered 2 boxes from our friendly little Brownie neighbor this year due to the fact that again, I lack self control. I could eat boxes and boxes if I let myself. Its pathetic really.

I've decided to submit three requests to the Girls Scouts of America this year. And here they are in no particular order:

1. Make the boxes bigger. Much bigger.

2. Change the pictures on the boxes. The pictures on the boxes have remained unchanged for the past few years. I'm tired of these girls. I need variety people! However, do not change the color. That would confuse me. Green=Thin Mints, purple= Samoas, and so on. If the color changes, I really don't know if I could handle it.

3. Give them away. I'm tired of having to pay for things. The Girls Scouts of America should be teaching these girls more charity. You should be going door to door giving these cookies away. After all, wouldn't that make the world a better place? It would be a better place for me anyways.

Those are my requests/demands. I expect them to be met.

Oh goodness, when I was a girl scout, the cookies were $2 a box... I about died when we went to the store today and got two boxes of thin mints and they cost a whopping $7!

I agree with you on the size of the boxes... of course the size of my hips would also increase... Hmmmm. ;)

Yeah, I've already gotten 4 boxes since they started selling them in January. Love em. They changed the name of the Samoas to Caramel Delights. I prefer Samoas, myself.

I was good this year and did not order any cookies, because of my lack of control too. But then our neighbor brought us a box of thin mints and a box of Samoas. How can your resist a free cookies?! So much for being good this year! :)

Wait, I knew that Samoas used to be called Caramel Delights. That's what I was getting in California. Then, they changed it to Samoas. I thought I was imagining things. Aaron & I have a good routine with the cookies: he gets the P.B. Patties, I get the Samoas. I hate his, he hates mine. We're in heaven and no fighting or stealing!

I am trying to ignore the fact that it is girl scout cookie time. I didn't order any this year because last year I went crazy. I think I ate a whole sleeve of thin mints in record time! Last year I was pregnant, this year I just can't do it! Enjoy some for me.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! It's cookie time. I agree with your demands er.. I mean requests. Charity is such a valuable lesson! I need to get on their web site and see when and where they are selling here! I have no self control either, but that doesn't stop me from ordering too many - as long as I don't get on the scale any time soon!

Crap! I got some 10 year old box of "caramel delights".

Arthur stopped somewhere today and picked up some more (no, I didn't tell him to), and this time the box said Samoas. I was very confused; heck, I still am.

i went to the girl scouts website and they are selling boxes under both names. how stupid is that? they are doing it with the tagalongs/peanut butter patties and the trefoils/shortbread cookies too. its like, hello people! pick a name already...

Here! Here! I agree with all of those requests !...Except I still think that Girl Scout cookies are the devil(ESP. the thin mints!), and The G.S.'s are the devil's advocates...they want me to get fatter.

Girls Scout cookies are the best. I remember when the girls sold them and competed amongst themselves it was cookies by the "case" how nuts was that in the freezer they went and cookies for everyone. Lately haven't bought any oh well, perhaps outside at Sams Club they'll have some. Thin Mints and Samoas the best.

Sad. No girls came to my doorstep. And I can't buy them off the internet. That would be perpetuating fatness. It is innocent and correct when a sweet little girl knocks on the door. Irresistable. Dirty and wrong when I go to all the effort to purchase. Eat about 14 thin mints for me please. Thank you.
