Green eggs & ham

Last week was Dr. Seuss's birthday. Did you know I keep track of children's authors birthdays? Thats a fact about me many don't know. We celebrate them monthly.

Okay, not really, Aubrey told me that fact. She was excited because her school was going to serve green eggs and ham for breakfast the next day. She doesn't usually eat school breakfast, but that morning we took her early so she could. Well, Ella heard about this and really wanted to have green eggs & ham too. So, I decided one morning to bust out the green food coloring and make a little green eggs & ham of my own. And I know, it doesn't look like the green eggs & ham from the book, but oh well. I did it my own(easier) way. And Aubrey said mine tasted better than the school cafeteria's. Score. I will be a master chef before I know it. I'm already beating out the school cafeteria. I'm on my way.....

What a great idea. What are you going to do on Roald Dahl's(James and the Giant Peach, Witches) Birthday? We should get together and make peach cobbler! You're such a cool mom.

You are such a fun mom! I might have to make Green Eggs and Ham for St. Patricks day. I think Dax would like that.

I love green eggs and ham! I did this last year and my girls couldn't stop talking about it for about 6 months!

I remember when Mom made us green eggs and ham. I loved it! I love the faces the girls are making. "Not so sure about this nasty looking green stuff, Mom." then "Hey, this ain't half bad, impressive." Cute!

Reagan had green eggs and ham at her school too...but as part of a Dr. Seuss Party they had in class. She dressed up as Cindy Lou Who. The whole school dressed up as Dr. Seuss characters. I wanted her to be Daisy Head Maisey but she wasn't down with that.

Next year, I'll be a good mommy and follow your lead. :)

Anyway, Your green eggs and ham looks like a kids delight, that is one I have never thought of before! Did you eat it in a box? Did you eat it with a fox?

Still laughing at your triumph over the school cafeteria! But how fun for you to do that for your kiddoes. You're a fabulous mama.

That is great that your kids will eat green eggs. My kids aren't much fun, Ethan flipped out when I made his pancakes pink for Valentine's Day and Addy wouldn't touch the blue pudding I made to look like the ocean for FHE.

Wow! That is impressive! It seems hard to make green eggs, but even if they weren't totally green, the taste is the MOST important part!
