Snow slide show

Our wishes came true!! It kept snowing last night and by 10:30pm our town was a winter wonderland.

On our to-do list for the morning was :
1. Sledding in the backyard in the laundry basket. Our backyard is sloped and this is the only time we have ever been happy about that:) It makes for a fun little sledding hill, right into the bushes.
2. Building a ginormous snowman (this guy was as big as Joey!) He fell over within half an hour. Darn.
3. Making lovely snow angels

There was a school delay of 2 hours(yessss) and Joey got to go into work late, so we had a blast this morning together as a family. There were many breaks(the kids kept needing to come inside to warm up, then they'd be off again to play some more), a hot chocolate break, changes of gloves, clothes, dripping trails of snow turned to water in the house and snowball fights(You'll see in the pictures. Aubrey got Ella good. Ella did not appreciate it.)Cali even got in on some of the fun. It was her first time to see snow. She of course gave it a good taste test:) We made so many fun memories.....

so many cute pictures! it would have been hard to narrow it down. That snowman is HUGE!! Did you still some of your neighbors snow to build him?!! :) To bad the snow is already melting, but at least we got snow this year!!

can you believe i did narrow it down? :) there were about a hundred pics i think. i posted about 60. we are crazy with the camera sometimse. plain crazy. and actually, that snowman was just from our front yard. we got a lot snow in the front! so now our frontyard is bare, but the backyard still has a pretty good amount, enough for one more snow play.

How pretty! I looooove the snow!!! My favorite pictures are the ones where Ella is scowling (I can't tell if she's actually crying) from the snowball Aubrey threw her way. Hilarious!

she was really crying in that first one:( then we explained to her how she could get aubrey back. then she cheered right up:)

Sooooo cute! Love the photos. How did you get your snowman so big? Seriously amazing. Ours was about 2 feet. Couldn't get the snow to stick. Jacob is still out there. I don't think he'll come in until the last bit of snow has melted! What a fun day.

Ella actually had her back turned to Aubrey at first. Aubrey claims that she was aiming for Ella's back, but then at the last minute Ella turned around and was welcomed by a snowball to the face.

Good times...good times.

I love it! Looks like everyone had a great morning how fun. Glad to hear that you got to share it all together. Great pictures, everyone looks like they had their own little fun time. I love pictures of the snow and then the pictures of the flowers blooming on the trees only in Texas. Too awesome.

I had no idea that it snowed in TX. I always thought it was warm year round. It looks like you guys had a great time!

I think you and Joey should just post all your online conversations. Such cute little lovebirds. Oh, and the kiddos playing in the snow are cute too!
