Strawberries coming soon...hopefully!

Just a couple of days before it snowed, Joey and the girls went to The Home Depot and picked out some strawberry plants and a planter. The girls were so excited to start our little strawberry patch. We spent that afternoon outside in temperatures in the upper 70s if not 80s. I still can't believe that 2 days after these pictures were taken, it snowed here. Crazy! We covered the plants with blankets when the weather changed. Hopefully it kept them warm and cozy, so we can enjoy some of our own home grown strawberries soon!

Look Daddy! I'm ready to plant!

Joey instructing Aubrey in the manner of strawberry planting and organization of the materials necessary in order to construct a perfect distribution of potting soil and plants.

I even got down to the nitty gritty.

Then I started going a little nutso with the camera. I kept making everyone smile for pictures. I think they got tired of me, but they still cooperated quite nicely. Thanks Aubrey. You have a gorgeous smile!
Ella wanted a picture of her with Cali.
Aubrey did too. Cali decided to smack her instead. Cali thought it was funny. Aubrey, well, not so.

I don't remember why Ella is pouting in this picture, but she looks so cute doing it:)

I think Cali looks like a little angel in this picture
Isn't she the cutest strawberry planting supervisor ever?

This is her new peek-a-boo hide. Nope, we can't see you Cali.

HOlly, you, my friend, are absolutely amazing! First, you have like a half a dozen posts for March and it's only the 6th. Second, all your posts are about fun and entertaining things. I don't know how you do it? How do you find the time to do all these fun and exciting things, and remember to take pictures, and remember to post them??? I love the snow pics and I'm so glad that y'all enjoyed your few brief moments of snow. I remember when snow was a novelty. I also love the Chuck E Cheese day! I still have yet to take my kids there. My favorite of course is the strawberry planting. We may have to do something like that eventually. Love ya!

Cute pics of the family planting strawberries. You will have to let me know how they turn out. I can't wait to go to the gardening 101 class tonight to get some gardening tips. I need all the help I can get. :)

I am definitely going to have to copy you on this one. That is awesome! Well, maybe in a month or two or ten, when I know it won't snow again.
