April Fool's AND Happy Birthday to Melissa!

Today I pulled off an awesome April Fool's surprise! (with the help of some friends of course!) Melissa Bryson's birthday is coming up soon and I was trying to figure out what to do for her. Then a friend of mine and I thought of surprising her with a dinner/birthday celebration at the local On the Border restaurant today, which just so happened to also be April Fool's(perfect!). We actually had this date set for about a week for a movie night at our friend, Katie's, house. But what Melissa didn't know, (and we all did:) was that a surprise birthday party awaited her. I offered to pick Melissa up tonight and when I picked her up I told her that Katie had called and said her son had just thrown up and so girls night at her house was cancelled. So then I said something like, well, lets just go out to eat you and me. She said sure. I said I was in the mood for Mexican, lets check out the new On the Border, and she went for it. She was clueless! It wasn't until she saw the table lined with lots of friends, balloon and cake that she realized it was all for her. The look on her face was priceless. I did a great job lying, I'm a natural:) Should I be proud of that? Probably not. But I am. We had lots of fun eating, making her wear a sombrero, listening to the On the Border crew shout a birthday song, and just talking. It was a fun night, a night to remember. I know she'll never forget it! Happy Birthday and April Fool's Melissa. A lot of people love you-you are a wonderful gal!!! I hope you enjoyed your night! Thanks for being one of my best friends ever. I don't know what I'd do without you!

Do I really have to wear this? Why yes, yes you do.

She learned to love it. Doesn't the sombrero look fabulous on her? She wears it well:)
The north end of the table, L to R: Nicole, Sarah, me & Katie. I didn't realize that when this picture was taken Melanie and Wendy weren't in the shot:( I thought we got everyone photographed! Darny.
The south end of the table, L to R: Melissa's nose, Sheri, Jennifer, Laurel & Susan.

I took this picture because I thought it looked like butt cheeks. Sorry for such a strange random shot. Thats me. Thats who I am.

A couple of girls left a little early, so Sarah and I thought we'd play musical chairs and sit where they were sitting. I think this really threw everyone off. (That last line was supposed to be funny. It was funny to me for some reason. When joey read it, he didn't crack a smile. I guess its just my sense of humor.)
Gift time!
The store bought cake. Sorry Melissa, I didn't bake it myself. Maybe next year....:)
Ladies in attendance: Melissa, Holly, Katie, Sarah, Susan, Wendy, Jennifer, Sheri, Laurel, Nicole & Melanie. Thanks for coming everyone! She was so surprised and we all had so much fun!

Good job, Holly. I imagine you're a master trickster because you look so dang innocent! As for the butt cheeks -- I see it too and am still laughing. Move back!

Holly-you are a natural liar. I was totally suprised. I would have had a hard time keeping a straight face while driving in the car together. Your good! I have to admit that I do look hot in the sombrero! :) Thanks for fun evening girls!
