Fly butterflies fly!

Joey's parents sent the girls a Butterfly Garden kit last month. The girls were so excited to do it! We sent off for the larvae and a week later, received them in the mail. We watched them build their chrysalis' in their little habitat and then just a few days later, all five of them emerged as beautiful butterflies. We decided a few days ago to do the butterfly release. It was so fun to see the girls faces and reactions during this whole process. They really enjoyed it and at the same time were learning-whats better than that? I think Joey and I enjoyed it as much as they did. Thanks Nana & Tata!

cute pics! your girls look like they enjoyed the butterfly kit. I love releasing the butterflies. Too bad they don't live very long.

Great gift -- how fun for the girls. Maya has been wanting one of those -- maybe that's something we should track down while Mom and Dad are cruisin'!

What a fun thing to do together. Grandparents are the best, aren't they? That must have been fun to watch the whole process. Fun and learning all together. Perfect!

Nathan did that in school this year, he loved it. It is so cool how you can just do this at home.

I soooo want one of these! I'm so glad your girls liked this, that makes me want to buy this even more. Brinley did this at her preschool and loved it so I'm thinking we may have to get it asap!

That is really awesome! My sister-in-law tried to release butterflies at her wedding reception but most of them were dead or really confused and just hung around on the tables. It was pretty gross. Your experience looks far more pleasurable.
