I'm baaaaaack!(say it scary-like)

We're back from our trip to Corpus and I'm finally back to blogging. And it just feels sooo right:)

I'm going to backtrack a bit to catch up on things. Okay, so rewind to the beginning of last week or so. Joey had just gotten home from the High Adventure Camp with the scouts. He is in the YM presidency so scouting is one of his duties. He had been gone all week long. I have to admit I complained about this trip beforehand. I didn't want him gone that long and I didn't want him to use up 5 days vacation for a scout trip. I'm a baby sometimes! But then I finally chilled out when I realized how much he wanted to go on this trip and how much he probably needed some manly time doing manly stuff. The poor guy is always surrounded by us girls! He definitely had a great time and I'm glad. And I survived thanks to friends that called and friends that hung out with me. Thanks girls, you know who you are:)
When Joey got home, the girls wanted to camp too. So, instead of actually camping, we did an inside campout(in our house-which is where all campouts should be:) We sure know how to rough it!). Joey made the girls a tent, let them use his battery operated lantern, made foil dinners and oven s'mores. We even told scary ghost stories and told dirty jokes(just kidding about the "dirty" jokes. They were squeaky clean:) It was a fun time and the girls really got a kick out of it. Here are the pictures from our "inside campout."

Welcome back. The blog world is not the same without you in it.

I'm glad that you had a nice visit.

Looks like the girls had a great campout. That is my kind of roughing it where a there is a toilet that flushes near by and no insect rebellent is needed.

Thanks for your email and info. I have added myself to my google reader now. (Just in case I am dumb enough to delete my whole blog again) Lot of love (LOL)

That looks like it was so much fun. I bet the girls enjoyed it so much. Those foil dinners bring back memories and look deeeeliiiciious!! Joey looks a little more tanned too! What good mommy and daddy you two are lucky girls. I agree my idea of camping is a motor home. Oh yeah, and usually when we camped Joe did the cooking YEAH BABY!

It was great finally getting to meet you in person & I agree we would totally be great friends. We will definitely have to do lunch or something when you come next time--I didn't want to ask & take you away from your family visiting time, but NEXT time . . . even a late night wal-mart trip will be a must!! :)

I love the 'indoor campout' thing. You guys are the best parents - I know the girls loved that! Chris C. just got back from a week-long high adventure too -- so we hear you on your thoughts on that one!

Welcome back. I seriously don't know how I survived without my daily dose of Holly. I can say it was difficult and at times, a bit traumatic. I will sleep much easier tonight. And that is my kind of camping. You rock!!
