Bunk buddies

These girls are in heaven these days thanks to their new bunk bed:) Joey and I had originally planned to buy them a queen bed to share because their bedroom wouldn't fit two twin beds without the door to their room smacking into one. So, we went to The Dump, a great inexpensive furniture store in Dallas, to search for the perfect bed. As soon as we walked past this cute girly bunk bed, the girls faces lit up and they immediately fell in love with it(I surprisingly did too). I never thought I would ever buy bunk beds for safety concerns I have, but with this top railing being so tall and our kids being a little older now, I felt good about it. After talking and much deliberation at the store(and also talk and agreement of the "bunk bed rules"), we said, "Yes!" The looks on their faces I will never forget-it was seriously priceless. They were jumping up and down, holding hands, and singing, "We get bunk beds! We get bunk beds!" It was worth every cent.....

Another perk to their new bed-they LOVE going to go to sleep now! I never thought I would hear, "Yea!" when I said "Its bedtime!" I'm sure this will pass soon, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts! :)

The bunks are too cute, as well as your girls. I've heard commericals for that place a million times but have never made it down there to check it out yet. Hmm...just may have to sometime soon...

I love this. The looks on their faces are priceless. I shared a room with my sister for my entire life till I left home and then was married -- and I really believe that's where our relationship came from. I loved spending that time chatting with her at nights.

very cute bunks! they will last much longer than a shared bed too. I am a lover of a new bed. Too bad we can't just get new ones every year :)

Super cute!! (The bed and your girls!) I love the Dump, it's like a treasure cave searching for buried treasure (AKA: deals and steals)!
