Keepin busy

***WARNING: LONG POST! But this will be my last post for a week, so treasure all of my blogging goodness while you can! :)

Joey was out of town alllll laaast weeeeek:( We missed him A TON, but thankfully I had many people come to my rescue! My sister visited us on Tuesday and we we had fun swimming with her at the nearby aquatic center.
After swimming, we hit Sonic for lunch. Skip this story if you are a follower of her blog(she already blogged this story:) ......So, I pushed the red button and placed my food order at 1:45pm. They brought me the wrong more expensive burger so I had been overcharged and I had the incorrect item. So, I pushed the button again and told them politely that my order was wrong. They apologized and then they brought out the right burger. Then the girl walks away before I had time to tell her I was supposed to get a refund .So, I have to push the button again and explain to them that they owed me a little over two bucks. I had paid with a credit card and thought they'd just refund it that way. Instead a girl walks out hands me cash and walks away. The cash was one dollar and sixty cents. Tara and I still don't understand where they got that amount from. Anyways, I had to push the red button once again, and tell them they owed me more. Finally, everything was situated. Then we realized, we hadn't placed our drink order yet. We had planned doing it separately because anyone that goes to Sonic knows their happy hour is from 2-4pm(half price drinks and slushes-yea baby!). But.I.Did.Not.Want.To.Push.The.Button.Yet. Again. I thought for sure someone would spit in our drinks(Not that I had been rude, I wasn't at all rude.)But I probably annoyed them with how many times I had to push the button-it wasn't my fault though! So, then we came up with a master plan. I reparked on the other side of Sonic, switched seats with Tara, she disguised her voice while ordering, and I hid under a towel when the lady brought the order. Oh, how I love being ridiculous! I bet this lady thought we were nuts. Um, yeah lady, we are! Tara said she kept looking at me strangely. It was so fun. We were laughing so hard at ourselves.

Proof that I actually did this

But we got what we came for. Half price slushes! Woohoo! Those suckas at Sonic.
Wednesday was the Jonas Brothers concert that Sheri came to the rescue for. I can't thank her enough. It gave me something big to look forward to this week and it was so much fun to do that with my sister, aunt, and my girls!

On Thursday, we met Melissa and her boys at Chuck E. Cheese. We hadn't been there in a long time and it was lots of fun. One of the reasons I wanted to go to this place was to force Aubrey to go up to Chuck E. Cheese and shake his hand/give him a high five/something! She is still afraid of that dude(and we are going to Disneyland on Tuesday, so I knew she had to get over this fear of costumed characters pronto!) He didn't come out for a while and I thought, darn, he's not coming out. But then I saw Aubrey(and Ella) run like the dickens up to the tunnels and I immediately knew Chuck E. had come out to play.....I had to force/beg/plead/threat Aubrey to come down and after several minutes of tears she finally came down. I promised her she'd thank me later. Maybe I sound like a horrible mother, but if I didn't do it, I don't know when she would've gotten over it! She is almost 7 now! I had to do a Chuck E. Intervention. So, I held her hand, walked over with her to Chuck E., and she did it! She shook his hand and he put his arm out for a hug...and can you believe, she hugged him!? I was so happy. And she was so happy too. I told ya so, Aubrey! She did thank me later:)
Cali's first ride. She loved that steering wheel. She was steering like a maniac!

Aubrey and Dax laughed and laughed on this ride

Ella and Jace getting their picture taken with plastic "Chuck E Cheese." If it had been the real Chuck E., Ella would have had nothing to do with him. Dax and Jace could care less though. Melissa's boys are tough:)

Melissa and I decided to get a picture together, since it was a date and all:)

Then on Friday, we had my friend, Anayansi, and her two daughters come to play. The girls all played so well together and Anayansi and I got to catch up on everything happening in each others lives. We live in the same area, but are still a good 45 minutes away from each other, so we don't get to see each other as often as we'd like. Its was lots of fun having them over that day! We hit the neighborhood pool while they were here too. You can't have too much swimming in the summer. I think my girls would live at the pool if there was a way:)

Ella, Aubrey, Reagan & Jenna after a day at the pool

Thanks everyone for hanging out with me this week. I needed it and it made the time pass by so much more quickly. Family and friends are such a blessing!

Well, we're off for California tomorrow! We have been waiting and saving for this trip for 3 years! It will be my kids first plane ride, so wish us luck! Disneyland here we come! We are so excited! Other things on the agenda for the week: my nephew, Elliot's, 1st birthday luau, meeting my dear blogging friend Grammy Lura(She is the sweetest!), and Southern Cali beach chillaxin. I'll be back Sunday!

I agree you can't swim too much in the summer. It is one way you can stay cool in the summer. Is the aquatic center fun?

Thanks for the fun date at Chuck E. Cheese. My boys keep asking to go back.

Have fun on your trip. Can't wait to hear about it when you get back. The blogging world wont be the same without you.

I hope you have a wonderful trip to Cali. Good luck on the plane. You can't take sippy cups with liquid in them through security so I always take empty cups through and then fill them up once we're past security so that when we take off and there is a change in air pressure, the kids can drink their drinks and it helps pop their ears so they aren't uncomfortable. We also keep our carryon full of the kids things by our feet because it seems like if you put it in the overhead, it takes forever for them to turn off the fasten seatbelt signs, and my kids can never wait that long. We're so jealous! I hope you have the best time at Disneyland!!!!
