"I don't need training wheels!"

Last week, we decided to take the kids to a nearby park and let them play and ride their bikes. Ella proclaimed, "I don't need training wheels! I want to ride my bike like Aubrey." So, we thought we'd let her try to ride without them. She was totally pumped and doing a little booty shakin dance beforehand. But as soon as she started riding, she freaked out. She was not happy and decided she wanted them back on. She can't say we didn't let her try! At least she's brave and has confidence in herself:) We were very proud of her for trying. We'll try again soon Ella! Practice makes perfect!
Heres a couple of other pictures from that day. Cali made sure to wear a helmet while driving her car.

Aubrey enjoyed riding around the basketball court.
It was a beautiful afternoon. I wish that nice weather would come back!

I'm sad she wasn't able to do it this time. Maybe next time! I can just picture her doing her little dance. I'm glad you guys had such a nice day. We had a couple ourselves when the humidity was low and the temperatures were a little cooler. I love Fall! Just wish we had more of one:(

Your girls are so cute! Well hopefully next time she'll do it! I remember when I got the training wheels off of my bike. It's hard being a kid. :)

I remember my dad teaching me how to ride my bike. I don't think they had training wheels then. I fell lots but finally got the hang of it. Ella's a brave girl to want to try. Better she waits until she is really ready to brave it without them though. She looks so afraid in that picture!

She'll get there. Your pictures (as always) are such fun to look at. They make me feel like I"m not really missing out on watching your girls grow up.

There's a big difference in Ella's expression from the first picture to the second. lol But hey, at least she wanted to try. I don't think I ever asked to have my training wheels taken off. If I'd had my way, I'd still need training wheels. hee hee

Has she picked it up yet? I remember when I was learning to ride a bike: I took one heck of fall and skinned my knee. One of the few times I didn't mind the sight of blood.
