On Thursday, Ella told me she wanted to tie her own shoes, so I showed her once. And then she did it. Wow, that was easy! I never knew Ella would have such mad shoe-tying skillz. You go girl!
She shouted, "I did it! I did it!" over and over again. It was a moment of triumph! Then of course, I made her sit there and wait for me to get the camera. She didn't mind though. She said she wanted me to blog it. :)

Oh yayy!!!! Congrats to Ella! That is a wonderful accomplishment and a HUGE step for a child. I can still remember how proud I was the first time I managed to do it myself!!! Way to go Ella!
She waited for you to get the camera so you could post it on the blog. Why do I find that vaguely disturbing?
Go Ella!! I remember (still!) trying to get my Matthew to figure this one out -- and what's funny is that he still to this day ties his shoes the way Big Bird taught on Sesame Street.
Yay for Miss Ella!
Good job Ella!!! :)
shankar, just FYI, the camera was in the same room. on the piano. 2 seconds away. i just didn't want you to be disturbed for too long....

Yay for Ella! What a good job! I remember my friend next door taught me how to tie my shoes with bunny ears when i was like...5? She was 8. I guess she got tired of tying my shoes all the time. Lol
