O Christmas Tree!

Last Sunday, we put up our Christmas tree and other Christmas decor. I just love opening all of the boxes with the kids and seeing their faces light up as they see things they remember from last year. The "Oh, I remember this Mom!" and "Look, Mom, look!"s make me smile:) Even Cali was old enough this year to help us trim the tree and be part of the excitement.

Here is Cali when Joey first set the tree up, happy as can be. She LOVES our tree and can't stop grabbing it....even still:) We gotta watch this girl.

Here is Cali putting on the first ornament. We had her put one on before she went to bed. It was getting late and she was tired after a long Sunday. She was so excited to hold an ornament!

But then she took it off and was like, I don't think so, I'm keeping this ornament! :) She didn't quite grasp that the ornament is supposed to stay on the tree..and again, she still hasn't grasped that idea:) She is our ornament thief.

Then Joey busted out his Polar Express Lionel train. This train is just awesome! We all love it! I love how it goes around our tree. It really adds some fun and excitement to the room. I know it will be such a fond memory for the kids and something special they'll remember doing with their Daddy.

Here is Train Engineer, Joey D.

Aubrey watching it race by. You can see it in the bottom left of the picture. Those are the Polar Express figurines hanging on the side of the train.

Ella laid down like this with her little hands propping up her face for a really long time watching the train. It was so cute!

Here are pictures of the girls and I trimming the tree. Aubrey helped me with the ribbon...

And Ella helped with the sparkly tinsel.

Working hard to make our tree pretty.
The finished product...with the flash on.

With the flash off. Isn't it crazy how much of a difference the flash makes? I think this picture looks so much cooler.

Admiring our work. We love our tree! Thanks for your help girls(and Daddy)!

Awesome Tree and those little helper elves are just as precious as ever. I love the train under the tree it's a memory I have had for years from when my dad always put ours up. I'm glad you have that tradition one for sure will always be remembered. I love the looks on the kids faces of Christmas and the expetations they will have of it all. Gorgeous pics and I love the non flash ones too.

Your tree looks great. Aubrey told me all about the Polar Express train on the way home from school the next day, she was pretty excited. We have an ornament thief in our house too....er ornament destroyer. I keep finding them all over the house.
