A day at the park

The weather was absolutely PERFECT over Spring Break. Temps were in the 70s most of the week! I just love Texas weather....well, except in the 110 degree summer. Joey's parents, aka "Nana & Tata" to the kids, came to visit us for a few days. We decided on the first day of their visit to have a picnic and play at one of our favorite new parks. It was a beautiful afternoon. . .

This is the kids favorite part of this park-this thing spins around and around and can get going REALLY fast. Believe me, I got on it and couldn't get it to stop. Needless to say I didn't feel too well after. I use to be able to handle spinning, but I guess I'm gettin old:)

Cali carried around her lunchbag the entire time. She didn't want to let go of it. It was pretty darn cute.
Ella has gotten really good at climbing the rock wall. Here she is saying "I did it Daddy!"

Cali saying hi to her Tata while Nana pushes

Me & Aubrey gave the spinner a go together. I handled it fine because with two people, its actually not too fast. I wasn't screaming that time.

Ella hopping while Aubrey spins (Can you tell Aubrey loves the spinner? :)
The day we went to the park last week, the weather was perfect. Today, however, we are having crazy wind-gusts up to 40mph! I'm sorry but I'm not loving my hair whipping me in my face so hard it stings. Wind go away-I want the Spring Break weather back!

It looks warm at least. Even with the wind. But 40 mph. Hold on to your house. Wow.

Looks so fun though at the park.

It looks like y'all had a lot of fun! I can't handle anything that moves in a circle at all! I get sick, sick, sick! I couldn't even handle it as a child. I know . . . sad, sad, sad.

We've had some crazy wind too -- but that park time looks like fun. Yay for time with the grandparents!

How fun!! The weather was great! They had some fun times it appears. And you are not old, as I am older and always will be, I don't want to hear you talk about being old. That means I am old by default.

My kids love that park. Thanks for telling us about it. Dax loves the spinning thing too. Cute pictures!

Cute park pictures. Don't you just love those perfect days? And yes, feel free to add my cake recipe to your cooking blog. It's kind of an old fashioned tasting dessert. Sort of bred pudding-ish. I need to link to that cooking blog. I'm always up for new recipes.

We just found a park like that, only everything spins. Let's just say, I've banned myself from all equipment!

What a cool park. I'll have to get the down-low. I'm not allowed on the spinny thing though. Remind me of that =).

I had never seen that type of spinner and it looked pretty interesting but I was not adventurous enough to try it out I might have broken it or puked one nonetheless neither would have been a pretty sight. Great fun and thanks for the great sandwiches it was really nice and it was a gorgeous day. The kids were the flowers blooming in that field that day all so cute and enjoying their little favorite spots.
