Cali's Clubhouse: Password Required

For Cali's birthday, we decided to get her a playhouse for the backyard-she LOVES to be outside and we thought this would be perfect for our teeny yard. It is also something all the kids can play with together. I know they'll have so many memories of it! When we saw this adorable cedar cottage at Sam's Club for a great price, we had to buy it!

After we made the purchase, the first thing the instruction manual said we needed to find were "2 moderately skilled people". . .

That was a part of the actual front of the instructions! I thought it was hilarious. Anyways, after days of searching, we finally found our 2 moderately skilled people. Joe & Joey. But honestly, these guys are extremely skilled handymen. I love that about Joey-he is very handy! And I have his Dad to thank for that!

Here are the men, looking a bit tired and confuzled.

Smile for a picture! Now, get back to work guys:) Joe and Joey worked tirelessly putting this together. It came in seriously a couple hundred pieces. Thanks guys for working so hard on this for the kids. They are loving it.

Here are pictures from Cali's birthday party night, when we unveiled the gift. Party in the clubhouse!

Cali's favorite part is the door. She likes to go inside and close it. And stay inside. And then open the door. And then go back outside. And then go back inside and close it. The door fascination is so funny. Here she is getting a leetle bit irritated with Joey for trying to open it while she is in fact closing it. Dad, I need my privacy!

Here are the kids the next day posing for a picture with Nana & Tata(who helped us buy it-thanks for going in on the gift!!). Notice how the girl's dolls match the girls clothes. . .

Just chillin in da house.

And I just think this is the cutest picture ever! Cali definitely loves her new "clubhouse." And luckily, she told me the secret password to get in:) And yes, I can fit! That thing is so tall I can actually stand in it!

It was fun putting that together with my Dad. We got to spend A LOT of time together. I also love to build stuff. You were not kidding about the number of pieces.

That is every girls dream. What a treasure of a place. I love it. Very good choice and they look so happy. Well the men not so much, but then they picked up.

Great mommy, mom.

What a great BD gift! I have seen that at Sam's and I want it for my yard too!

I just laugh when I see instructions like that -- sort of like when we got the big metal airplane thingie for our yard for the kids to play on. It said "Assembles in an hour or less" -- yeah right. Mark is a whiz with stuff like that and it took him all day. Literally.

Everyone looks so cute. I love all the pics and especially the ones of the girls and those studly men you got to build that house. Can't top that fo sho. Yeah, the two Joe's are the best as far as handymen we have saved hundreds if not thousands of dollars because of their skilz. Good thing there's a password for the clubhouse.
