Feelin' loved

Mother's Day weekend kicked off with Friday morning's "Muffins with Mom" at both Aubrey and Ella's schools. At both programs, I was showered with sweet songs, skits, notes, creations, kind words, hugs, pictures and plants. Its so awesome to be a Mom, especially on Mother's Day:)

First stop was Aubrey's school at 7:50 am. Here is the table with the things she made for me. That book with the flower pot has flowers I can pick each day that say things she is going to do for me. My favorite is "I'll give you a head masosh." This girl knows what her Mama loves!

Here is a video clip of part of the Reader's Theatre that was performed for the Mommies. They read the "Love You Forever" book. That book brings me to tears no matter how many times I read it! There wasn't a dry eye in the room when the end of the book was read.

Next stop was Ella's preschool at 9am. Here is her little table set with the things she made for me. I LOVE that I have her silhouette now! It is so beautiful. I'm going to put this on her wall in her room. I love it. And then the card has peanut shells that she painted and it says, "I'm nuts for you Mom!" :)

The kids sang us a cute "Mommy loves me" song. The looks on these little 4 and 5 year olds faces while they sang so sweetly was priceless. So so cute!! Needless to say, I had a wonderful Friday morning filled with lots of love!

Mother's Day was one of the best. Joey made chocolate chip muffins(my request) and the kids decorated the table with gifts they had made with Joey at the Home Depot Kids Workshop weeks before. They are these cute little wooden wheelbarrows. The kids even planted flowers and put them on top. Thanks girls! I love them! And thanks Joey for helping them:) Oh, and Cali's gift to me was a big hug and kiss. And the fact that she now calls me "Mommy" instead of "Mama." I love that!
My gift from Joey was a new digital camera-woohooo!!!!! Ever since he got his Canon 30D (SLR), I have been having so much fun playing with it. The thing with that camera is first, it wasn't mine:) And second, I couldn't just grab it and take it with me anywhere. Its HUGE and you have to haul a huge bag around, which isn't easy when you are holding a toddler and a big honkin purse. I really wanted something small, portable, yet awesome. Something I could put in my purse to take to school programs or to the park. A great "grab it and go" camera. My old little digital camera is cruddy and just getting old. Anyways, he did some research and found the perfect camera for me. Its a Canon Powershot G10 and I'm already in love with it. I'll post some pictures I've already taken with it tomorrow. I love the size, the quality and the ease of using it. And, wow the picture quality is amazing! Joey, you are the best husband EVER. Now I won't have to borrow your camera for half the pictures on my blog! :) Haha.
And I have to share one more highlight of my Mother's Day, something Joey said to me. I told him he spoiled me and gave me too much(because not only did he buy me a camera, he got me a few other things too). He responded, "No I didn't. You deserve it. To me, Mother's Day is even more important than your birthday. Its a day that celebrates mothers-a relationship that is eternal." He is so awesome about acknowledging how important my role of a mother is. Not all guys are like that and I know it. He always tells me thank you for the things I do and respects me as a stay-at-home mom. He always helps me when I need it. He never "expects" a clean house or a perfect dinner, which makes me want to try and provide those things even more. He is wonderful. I can't wait for Father's Day so I can shower him with love and gifts too:)
How did I land this guy???
