Fathers

Waking up Daddy from a nap this afternoon with cards and presents

I have been blessed with many wonderful fathers in my life: my wonderful husband, Joey, who is the best dad I could've asked for for my children. So loving, so fun, so patient and so sweet. My kids have got it good! He is just wonderful. I could go on and on about him all day long:) Then there is my own father who has a great sense of humor, is smart, and has always worked hard for our family. I've never doubted his love for me. My father-in-law, Joe, who is gentle, humble, and a man of integrity. He taught his children well and I'm grateful to him for helping Joey to be the amazing man he is today. And my grandfathers who have both played an important part in my life. I fondly remember zoo trips that my Grandpa Smith took us on as children. And my Grandpa Adams always has a joke to tell and a smile on his face. They are all such special people. The world wouldn't be complete without these strong men! Happy Father's Day to all the daddies and grandaddies out there!

This is a wonderful video about the value of fathers that I wanted to share today. It really touched my heart. . .its 7 minutes long, but take the time to watch every minute. . .

As you know, I really loved that video too. You know I sent it to my sons because I thought they would enjoy it too. One never replied at all, and the other one sent me an e-mail back asking me not to send him anything Mormon thank you very much. Kind of hurt my feelings as I didn't think there was anything doctrinal in the video, it was simply a video about a good father and his children who really appreciate all that he is. Oh well! You win some you lose some! Glad that you have Joey in your life. You truly are blessed Holly to be able to bring your family up in the Gospel. You truly are . . .

Love the post and the song brought memories back to Joe and I this is an older song perhaps a remake. Quando, Quando, Quando, I love it. We are grateful in deed for our dads. Mine passed away when I was ten but what I do remember of him is all good, he had his moments but mostly good. I'm glad that there are good male influences in the girls lives it'll make for great choices in their future lives. Love the new due your sporting son. love mom and dad
