Walkin the walk

The girls participated in the bi-annual PB&J Clothier's fashion show yesterday and did a fabulous job! Here are pics from their big day. . .
The scene.
The girls doing their practice walk before the show started. Ella scurried with her little head down and would barely look up:)

But then she gave a halfway smile at the end of the walk:) She was nervous!

I gave her a pep talk and told her to look up and smile and enjoy it. And she did! Here they are doing their official walk. They were adorable!

Look at those faces of confidence! We were so proud:)

Something about their little arms around each other made my heart melt:) They chose to do it together. It was just so sweet.

Great job girls-you both did a fantastic job walkin the catwalk! They both had fun and even got some cookies afterwards as a reward. Oh yeah, and I won a raffle prize for a free facial-cha ching! :) It was a good day.

Go Roughriders! And Hooks!

A couple of weeks ago, Joey got some free tickets to a Frisco Roughriders game(his company has a box there), so we went! Because a free baseball game=pure awesomeness.

Cali looooved her cotton candy.
And the girls tried dippin dots for the first time. They gave their Daddy a bite because he told me that evening that he had never had dippin dots before. That shocked me! This guy has done everything, eaten everything, you name it, hes done it. Anyways, for once I can say that I had something before him-woohoo! :) I'm childish.

We had fun cheering for both teams(they were playing the Corpus Christi Hooks and as you know Corpus is my hometown yo!) But the Roughriders prevailed! Sorry Corpus, I guess you kinda stink. But I still love you.
The night ended with fireworks which Cali called "Firetrucks!" repeatedly:) And now when baseball comes on tv, she gets very excited and yells "Baseball firetrucks!" I guess that evening made an impression on her. As firetrucks often do.

Aubrey's Par-tay

Yesterday was Aubrey's big party at North Star Gymnastics! All I had to do was make a cake...here she is. A giant cupcake. I actually made 2 to feed everyone. It was a hit-the kids thought it was pretty cool. That was my goal:)
And here are pics of all the party fun. . .

It was a GREAT time! Aubrey said it was the best party ever:) She had lots of friends come and help her celebrate her big day. Happy Birthday Aubrey!

Good ole Albertsons

Once again, my sister and I spent a night at a grocery store up to no good. . .no good at all. Enjoy these very juvenile/scary/weird/gross/inappropriate pictures. And just know, this is me. This is who I am. Don't hate.

Red Bull REALLY gives you energy. See, I haven't even opened it yet and I'm about to explode.

Tara has bladder control issues. . .

And apparently her bladder isn't the only thing thats causing her problems. . .

Relieving stress with the stress ball. And yes, I can make crazy eye faces. Don't tick me off. They can and will get crazier.

Doing a little dance with the wrapping paper as a cane. This is the dumbest/lamest picture of the night. I win the dumb picture prize! Woot woot!
Tara chose two nice melons for purchase. I don't know why the lady next to us was giving us weird looks. Some people.

I chose two teeny lemons.

Tara chillin' in the freezer. Literally.
You don't want to mess with these two. Believe me, I've tried. The one on the left is especially vicious.

This hurts real bad. I wouldn't recommend it. Unless I don't like you.

This bathroom inspection sheet showed the bathroom hadn't been cleaned since 2 pm the previous day. So, I failed them. And wrote Albertson's a note from the "chief bathroom inspector" telling them they would be immediately reported for "ickiness."
When we were ready to go, I drove home in my car. Tara drove home in one of these. And it was raining outside.

And there you have it. Albertson's can be fun!!(that should be their new slogan, eh?) If you've never seen any of our previous grocery store adventures, click here and here and here. You'll either laugh, cry or shriek in terror. Hopefully a mixture of all 3. After all, that is our goal.
Thanks Tara for a fun night!! I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time. Its fun to act ten years younger than your age sometimes:) Sisters are the best.

Chillin around the house

Last weekend was a bit on the rainy side, so we just spent Saturday chillin at home with our family who was visiting. From barbecuing, to karaoking, to paperoni-ing, to wii-ing, to eating, to coloring, to talking, we did it all:) Aubrey was able to open her presents from her grandparents, so this lucky girl gets 3 celebrations this year. Her actual birthday with just us five, then the Saturday after with the extended family, and then this coming Saturday with her friends. LUCKY! We had a wonderful weekend with everyone-thanks so much for coming. We love you so much.

I'll let the pictures do the talking.
