Happy Birthday to the love of my life

Joey is 33-super old!! :) Hehe. I just wanted to wish him a Happy Birthday on my little ole blog. I love this guy more than anyone or anything. I scored in the husband department:) He is an amazing hubby, supportive, sweet, loving, cute, funny, the real deal. Thanks Joey for being so wonderful-I LOVE YOU LIKE CRASEY! Happy Birthday!

So one of the things we did to celebrate was go out on a hot date to the John Mayer concert here in Dallas. It was soooo awesome! A couple of friends of ours helped us out with watching the kids(thank you Sarah & Sheri!) so we had an entire night to ourselves. We have been huge fans of the Mayer for the past few years, LOVE his music(not him particularly these days...), but he is an amazingly talented musician and singer. He sang so many hits mixed in with his new stuff. And he even sounded better in real life than the radio. Fo reelz. Some groups suck in real life because they have no real talent, but John Mayer is the real deal y'all!

Joey and I before the concert. We splurged and bought floor tickets-worth every penny!
The opening band was Michael Franti & Spearhead. I liked em a lot. This is a picture from when they had some kids get up on stage and dance to their hit song, "Say Hey." I thought this band was a great opener. Lots of energy to start the night out with.
Then the Mayer showed up. And we jammed. And danced. And sang. And danced some more:)
In the middle of the show, he put on a Dallas Mavericks jersey. Cute.

I just thought these lights were cool. He looked like he was glowing.

The end to an amazing evening. Thanks John-you didn't disappoint!
Video clips coming soon...

I cannot freaking wait for next week. I am glad you had a good time! And I am even more glad that you are referring to him as "the Mayer" now - since I made it my mission to get the entire world using the term...
