We made our annual summer trek down to visit the family in Corpus in June and as always, had lots of summer fun! We spent the first half of our visit with the Smith clan visiting the Texas State Aquarium, going to the movies(Ammon's first movie-Madagascar 3!), making a variety of treats with Grandma, and of course eating Mexican food at one of our favorite joints, Kiko's. I miss good Mexican food...Dallas doesn't quite do it as good as South Texas! And a special thanks to my sis Tara for the aquarium hook up. She got us in for free(and that place ain't cheap!) because she recently got a job there-go Tara! She also got us some other hook-ups: fish to feed the sting rays, she even put in a word for Aubrey to get picked out of the audience during the birds of prey show, and then after the show we got a special one on one with one of the animals: an adorable anteater. It was really fun for the kids! Always, when we leave Corpus, they are so so sad to say goodbye to everyone. Especially the grandparents. They are blessed to have two amazing sets. Thanks Smithies for a good time..next post: part 2, visit with Nana, Tata & the Youngbergs.
