The pumpkin patch trip from heck

Enjoy pics from our annual Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch trip...I'll admit it wasn't the best trip..we got a late start...Wes cried the entire way there...AND back(and this place is about an hour from our home, yeah, it was awesome)...the place started closing before we were done doing everything we wanted to...so the kids were pouty(ungrateful little boogers!:) on the way home..so we were annoyed with them...one of those, "Why did we do this?" kind of evenings.  Oh, and on the way home we usually go to Cici's Pizza. And that didn't even work out. The place was so crowded there were no tables that evening! So that was super awesome too. But hey, while we were there at the pumpkin patch, we did have a good time I guess:) And we got a whole lotta hilarious pics. The kids were in rare form...I don't think I've seen so many funny facial expressions all in one batch before. So while it wasn't the best time ever, we can at least laugh about it now. Life ain't perfect and I don't ever pretend it is. :)

Wesley puked. Aubrey is in shock. Cali is still holding onto her fake smile while she looks. Ammon has his hand in Ella's shirt. Awesome.

Everyone laughing at Aubrey. We all laughed. Sorry Aub.

The one great shot we got of all five kids. I do declare they are adorable.

Just some cute shots of the kids...

The tractor driver waved at us. Not just that but he stood and waved! So that deserved a picture. I was camera happy that evening.

Me & my little guy

Aubrey and her faces...gotta love her.

Sisterly love. Right after this Cali shoved Ella off...just kidding :)
Wow, Ammon is strong. And wow, Joey looks excited! hahaha. Hes going to LOVE that I posted this one.

I had the idea of getting a cute father/son picture sitting on the pumpkins. Obviously. Ammon had a different picture in mind. The "lets claw Daddy's face off" picture. Enjoy the next few pics. Joey turns that frown upside down:)

Time for the little train ride! Ammon started to freak once he got inside. But as you can see from the following pics, he calms down and somewhat enjoys it. Here is Joey trying to distract him with his phone(which was a genius idea btw, Ammon LOVES phones...a little T-Mobile engineer in the making)

The little girls having fun...

There goes Aubrey again. Aubrey the facemaker. Totally my kid.

 Hi Mom!!!

Had to get the "My First Pumpkin Patch" picture of Wes. So cute! Hes like, what are they doing to me now...

Is anyone else having a hard time centering captions? Uggh. Blogger is killin me!

Happy 2 months Wesley!

Earlier this month, Wesley hit 2 months! He is trying to talk to us SO much, has the biggest cutest smile, and I just seriously love how much he uses his little eyebrows in his expressions. So sweet. He is so soft, smells so good, and is such a perfect little man. He is getting a little bit easier with each week. The first two months were tough since he didn't really like much other than being held(which I'm hoping means he'll be a cuddler like his brother and father:) but now that we are into the third month, he is getting easier with every day. He is becoming more interactive and its so fun! He still doesn't love his carseat or the baby swing(dangit!) but he will let me put him down on a blanket or put him in the little chair we have with toys, so I can actually get a few things done during the day and spend more time with Ammon too. So its getting easier...yea!  I can do this :) Those first few weeks are always tough, the fifth time has seemed the hardest ever-juggling a newborn with lots of demands, juggling your own hormones and recovery, and trying to figure out life with five kids hasn't been easy. And plus a move and unpacking to throw into the mix. Its been a little crazy but we are surviving! Here are the two month pics I took of him on his two month birthday. . .such a cutie patootie.

Sock Hop with Daddy

Our Stake held a fun 50's sock hop for Activity Days girls that Aubrey & Ella were able to attend with their Daddy. A bunch of Dads and daughters met at a diner before hand for dinner which made it extra fun! They had fun dancing the night away and eating root beer floats at the dance..I know its a memory they will never forget. They came home very happy and had lots to tell me about it. And I think they looked pretty darn cute! And so did Joey :) Super studly.

National Night Out

Earlier this month, our city held its National Night Out. Our neighborhood made it fun with a bounce house at the end of our culdesac, hot dogs, chips, ice pops, face painting, a visit from the police and fire department, the works! We walked our little family down for an evening of fun and getting to know lots of neighbors. We have a good mix of families here-no one quite as young as Joey and I (we are the youngins in the hood:) but there are families with kids mixed with retired grandparents. I loved how the grandmas flocked to the baby and one of them even held him:) I really love the feel of it here. We had fun and I'm glad we went! I almost didn't go because there was a Relief Society activity that I had planned on attending but I just felt strongly I needed to meet our neighbors and be part of this evening with Joey and the kids. And I'm glad I did. I knew I had chosen the right thing to do as we walked home that night with our kids bellies full, faces painted, and lips stained with ice pop juice:) I love this family of mine.

Baby Shower/Birthday Bash

I totally forgot to post about a little baby/birthday party a few wonderful friends hosted for me! Sarah, Katie & Emily threw it for me at Katie's home last month. We all enjoyed yummy appetizers and cupcakes, great conversation(I hadn't seen most of these ladies in months with all the craziness of life!), a couple of games and of course awesome gifts from dear friends. I truly appreciated that they did this for me, even though it was #5. Its always nice to have a special evening to celebrate you and your baby. Pregnancy, childbirth(and not to mention just plain raising a kid:) is hard..I think everybody deserves a party for every baby! I forgot to take pics during the shower-I was so wrapped up in talking to everyone I forgot(I'm dying for socializing right now! ha). But I did take a pic before and after....

Right as I was leaving I was like, crud, I didn't really take any pics! So I grabbed my camera and took a picture of me and the three gals that threw it for me, 3 of my favorite people in the world. Love you guys! Thanks again!!

Photo shoot with all five kiddos

About a month after Wes was born, Joey took some pics of the kids(and some of me too:) after church. It was sorta an impromptu gig, but I love how they turned out! I know I'm biased but seriously we have the cutest kids. Like ever. :)
