The gingerbread house that wasn't meant to be

Every year I buy a gingerbread house kit for the family to decorate together. This year we scored big and found a kit that has four little houses so they could each do their own(because yall, I'm just too dirt cheap to buy a kit for each kid like some moms do! And heck no, I'm not going to make them from scratch. Ain't nobody got time for dat!) So the kids had lots of fun making each little house their own. And Ammon, that boy...he made one..and we seriously turned around for two seconds and in that time he demolished it. Flat out. At least we got a before picture :) It was pretty hilarious. Thats a boy for ya....

Look at him hard at work...he was so cute.

Yea! Proud of my boy for truly decorating his first little house....he did such a great job!

And well, that was the end of that. DESTROY!

The girls worked very meticulously on their homes. I always love watching them get so into it. They are each so creative and individual.

Ta-da! The finished products. 3 houses. And some walls:) I later sifted powdered sugar on top. Its the "its snowing!" tradition. My mom always did that to add a little more magic :)

How cute! :) I can't believe Ammon actually took the time to decorate his at all- good for him! And I was gonna ask where the snow was, until I read that you did that later. Tradition! I miss our gingerbread house making with Mom. :(
