Family Vacation Pics: Part 4(The end of Nauvoo pics)

The second half of day 3 in Nauvoo was visiting Brigham Young's home, the gunsmith, the Nauvoo Pioneer Cemetery and then the country fair and Nauvoo Pageant. Lets just say the other favorite part of Aubrey and Ella's trip to Nauvoo was the country fair...as you will see they got to dance with some boys ;)   Even at the ages of 10 and 12, these girls are a lil boy crazy:) Okay, I was too...the country fair was AWESOME. There were so many activities, inexpensive food, dancing, fun music, games..I really felt like I was at a real fair back in the day! Gosh our church knows how to partay. :) All of the kids really enjoyed it. One of the highlights of Nauvoo. And then the pageant was wonderful too. The following morning was when we packed up and said goodbye to my family as they headed to NY(we'd be crazy if we road tripped up that far with young five kids:) but our Nauvoo adventures weren't over yet. We went to this area where they have kids activities and we also visited the old schoolhouse. The kids really loved that. And one of my favorite pics is from that stop(see pic of Wesley and the wheelbarrow-it makes me laugh. He said, "uh oh uh oh" as he grunted and tried to pick it up:) The last place we went to was the mercantile store where we let the kids get souvies. Aubrey got an "I love Mormon Boys" t-shirt, Ella got a beautiful Nauvoo temple necklace, Cali chose a bonnet and the boys got pioneer boy caps(Okay, I guess I picked those out. How could I not?) So darn cute. Our trip to Nauvoo (Liberty and Carthage and everywhere else in between) was so memorable and so testimony building. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's church upon the Earth. I'm so grateful to be a member and for the blessings I have in my life, most importantly, this sweet family that I know, thanks to temple ordinances, will be together forever. We were so sad to say goodbye to Nauvoo! So much planning went into it and so much anticipation. Always sad when it comes to an end. But our trip wasn't over yet. . .

Oh, and this is Joey climbing out of the window because we somehow got locked in our cabin! Key wouldn't work. Good thing he is so strong ;) I was impressed. . .
