The Cube Life

Welcome to Joey's home away from home :) Can you tell he likes Yoda?

And here he is with Ella playing some foosball at the office. One day I took her to iceskating and I didn't realize the rink was closed(and its near his work) so we just hopped over and paid him a little visit. He is the best dad and stopped what he was doing to hang out with us for a bit and even play a game with his little girl :)

And here we are: the whole gangaroo. It was the last week of summer so we came to visit him at work and then all went to Schlotzsky's for lunch.
I hate that he has to work in this teeny cube all day long, but heck, you can fit 7(and a half;) of us in there so I guess it ain't too bad....;) Someday he'll have his own actual office. I just know it.  He has climbed the ladder at work because he is so smart, creative and a hard worker. I know he'll keep on climbing and reach all of his goals. He'll get that office! :) We love you so much Joey/Daddy and appreciate all of your hard work for us every day! We know its tough and you do it because you love us and are a good provider for us.  We have been so blessed. You are the best hubby and hardworker ever. xoxo

Tennis Star, Cali

Cali started up tennis lessons last Spring...and guess what? She LOVES it. I finally have a kid loving this sport! Aubrey and Ella both gave it a whirl in their younger years but didn't take to it the way Cali has. They liked it but didn't love it so it fizzled. Anyways, I'm so excited! I'm excited not only because its a sport I love and enjoy, but I love that Cali has finally found something she is truly having fun with. She never got bored of it like she did with gymnastics and dance class. She was excited for every lesson! Over the summer, we put her in a little tennis camp too. She did spectacular-you should see her backhand! We are so proud of her and so happy she has found something that makes her happy too :) I hope she sticks with this so she can be our little tennis star.

And isn't this little tennis dress seriously cute? Clearance rack at Academy baby...

Laura came to visit!!

So Laura and I were talking on the phone not long ago about how it had been forever since we'd seen each other. 3 years to be exact :( I had really been missing her lately seeing as that a lot of my so-called friends have seemed to just think I've dropped off the face of the planet since I moved a whole 8 minutes further away :/ I found out who my true friends were thats for sure. Makes me sad ...Thats a rant I just should keep to myself though ;) And I need to just focus on making new friends in this new area, but so far, its been hard. I've made several friends but no one I'm super close to. Sigh. I'm trying though. Its funny how even when you grow up and become an adult, you can still feel like a teenager in high school. You still desire friends and to be liked and accepted by others. Its hard not to. And its not whats most important to me in my life-at all. I have a wonderful hubs and the best kids a mom could ask for. But you still always have that need for sisterhood and friendship. And Laura, well, shes always been there. Through it all. BFFs for evs!!! We met in the 5th grade, became best friends in 6th grade and have been buddies ever since. We have one of those rare friendships, the kind where even if you haven't talked in a long time or seen each other, its like you've never been apart. I'm so blessed to have her in my life. I love you Laura!!! And I hope you move to Texas soon!! :) Okay, enough mushy girl stuff ;) Later that day(after the phone call) she texted me asking if I was free in a couple of weeks..I said yes, and well, she got a ticket to come down! I was SO EXCITED!! It was such a fun surprise. I really needed this and I think she did too. No one besides my sis makes me laugh as hard as Laura does. We had some much needed "girl time" and just chilled with the kiddos. We did get to spend a part of one Saturday shopping and eating, just her and I (I took her to one of my favorite spots, Gloria's-it didn't disappoint!). We also did many crazy pics at places(Puma and Nike Outlet and good ole Wal-Mart) that I hope you enjoy...we also did a girls night out with my daughters and I'm not sure where the pics from that night are, darnit! Maybe Laura took them with her camera...anyways, we pigged out at the cheesecake factory :) Good times!! Its always a partay when she is around. Thanks for coming Laura! And thanks Peter(her hubs) for letting her and watching the kids so she could come!!! And thanks Joey for letting us have a Saturday to ourselves without the kids! We got some great guys :)

Finished stuffing our faces at Gloria's. They make one mean chimi. And their service is always amazing.

Crazy pics at the outlets. Some say we are creative. Some say we are crazies. I say we are both.

This picture idea was genius. Good job Laura. I am impressed.

So I got down here for a picture and Joey called me..I answered it and had a brief conversation with him. And creeped some people out. And scared a few in the process. It was the best.

Something about Laura's face in this one makes me laugh. Like the dude running in front of her just farted or something. Or maybe she just did?

Don't ask. It looks like a weird butt pat. It was supposed to look like a spank. I didn't quite capture the moment the way I had hoped...sigh...

 Our best imitations.

Getting cuddly with Big Bird. She actually put her mouth on this thing. I think she really does love him.

Laura misses Blue Bell ever since she moved to Utah. So she really gets into it when she eats it ;) Just one more reason to move back here someday...

Laura and the winner of CLR, Cali! Laura brought us this super fun game involving dice and candy. It is a hit at our house. Thanks!!!

One morning we took the kids to the park. Cali got stuck in a swing. Sisters tried to get her out. Laura ended up being the champion that actually got her out...but I had to take a picture of the girls sad attempt. Lol. I'm mean.

Just a cute picture of Ammon. And a creepy one of Laura. I love how my kids all warmed up to her in about  2 minutes. Seriously. They are shy sometimes(especially Wesley lately with strangers) but she is so fun they were laughing and playing with her almost immediately! I tell them she is pretty much  an Aunt :)

Wal-Mart pics. The funny ones are of Laura. The stupid ones are me.

I loved it when somebody walked by during this picture.  The look on their faces was gold. Gold I tell you.

 Rabid dogs

 Swim party at Laura's place!

Ole! Don't you love my napkin blindfold behind my sunglasses?

Oh, and one evening we went to Five Below just to shop for junk. Aubrey found this funny sign. We almost bought it. Almost. And Laura tried it later. She sadly reports no rainbows in her poop. I'm devastated.
And I know we took pics of her the last day with all the kids but I'm not sure where they are! Ack! We have too many cameras...Anyways, hope you enjoyed the pics I did post! We are two nutsos that will always know how to have fun!! :)

Our baby is TWO!

I cannot believe Wesley is two. Our baby boy. Is a toddler. For real now. There is something about a kid turning two that is heavy/scary for me. 1. They aren't officially a baby anymore  2. They become terrible ;) I wouldn't say he turned terrible on his second birthday. He was already exhibiting signs:) Hahaha. In all seriousness though, he is a wonderful little guy. When I am home with the kids, he is a sweet loving funny little boy( i say when I'm home with the kids because he is a toughie when we go out sometimes! He loves to torture Ammon in the car....;)  I can always count on him to come give me kisses and big squeezy hugs. If I ask him to come to me for a diaper change or for any reason and he doesn't come, all I have to do is fake cry(I'm mean) and he will come right over and hug me and do whatever I ask. He loves me and has a soft wittle heart. He tries to do things to make us laugh. He has recently started to make the most hilarious scrunchy nosed face when you get out a camera or ask him to smile. He loves to look at books. He ADORES cars. He is constantly rolling a car or truck or train(anything that has wheels) all over our floors, couches, walls, peoples backs, etc. It is SO CUTE. Ammon loved characters/ "cool guys" and still does. He was never that fascinated by cars. But Wesley, he is our car boy! Sometimes I'll just be sitting on the couch and all of the sudden I'll feel a car rolling on my head then onto my back. It kinda tickles and feels good actually :) He still isn't saying much but totally comprehends every word. I can ask him to go get me something and he'll bring exactly what I've asked for. And recently he did add a new word to his vocab, "Hewo!"(for hello:) Cali taught him that one and it sounds so cute. Oh and one more thing about this boy: he is busy. Busy busy busy. He gets into lots of things. He has taken a crayon and marker to couches, walls, leather chairs, and doors...he tries to stand and balance on things he shouldn't(kinda like his daddy. . .). Hence the bruises he gets weekly. Anyways, we love this cute, curly blonde, daredevil, car loving kiddo! Our family sure wouldn't be the same without him. We love you cutie patootie and hope you loved your 2nd birthday as much as we loved celebrating it with you!!

Enjoy pics of our family party! We had Pizza Hut and a hot wheels cake I made and decorated. It turned out not too shabby.

One of the pizzas was one of those wacky ones with cheese sticks for the crust. Ammon thought his piece looked like a claw from a dinosaur. I think he was right.

The cakity cake.

Wesley was so excited to have a new hot wheels cup to drink out of...

I LOVE these pics of him when he first saw the cake.

I think he liked it :)

He was HILARIOUS during the birthday song. As we were singing he kept blowing the candles out over and over! Joey kept having to relight them.We were all laughing so hard. We'll never forget that. Silly kid.

Not sure what this face is all about but it makes me laugh...

After we were done singing, Wesley stole a cookie off the side of the cake. Heck, it was his birthday. We let him go for it.

I bought these silly masks..kids had fun with them.

Present time! Most of these pics are of him opening gifts from his sisters. They are so good to their little bros. I love this picture below because as soon as he opened his car from Ella he was racing it down the birthday gift bag :)

A ball the perfect size for Wesley(from Aub)

 Testing it out...

Big boy in the present opening chair :)

Looking at his card from Cali. She also gave him gummies and made him a perler bead dog(those are a lot of work! She was so excited to give it to him!)

Joey and I got him a racetrack for his hot wheels and a pirate ship tent to play in. They have been having a blast in there. I've climbed my huge self into there too..for fun..

Joey spent the evening playing cars with his boys. Makes me so happy he has his boys now :)

Snuggles with my baby, er, I mean big boy...
